Training Overview

The goal of SHIFT is to achieve strong positive impact and reach within two years through a comprehensive and effective training program. Specifically, SHIFT:

  1. Educates exposed individuals and improves their ability to prevent and mitigate negative effects associated with child pornography,
  2. Trains mental health professionals on child pornography, its effects, vicarious trauma (VT) and proven effective treatment methods,
  3. Trains mental health professionals and law enforcement trainers to conduct regional and local SHIFT trainings,
  4. Conducts training of advanced topics for exposed individuals live at conferences and via web Fireside Chat.
