SHIFT Train-the-Trainer

The 4 hour train-the-trainer (T-t-T) workshop will train mental health and exposed individual professionals to team-teach PEP-EI and PEP-MHP at regional and local levels.  Participants who successfully complete all three workshops (PEP-EI, PEP-MHP, and PEP-T-t-T), and can demonstrate seasoned experience in the field, will receive access to the presentations, video and written materials.  Individuals may be qualified to teach if they:

  1. Are a mental health professional with six months of field experience in successfully counseling exposed individuals, or
  2. Are an exposed individual that has had exposure to child pornography for one year or more.

Who should attend?

  • Teams consisting of a mental health professional and an exposed individual desiring to teach regional PEP-EI and PEP-MHP workshops

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Participants must register/attend as a team (1 mental health professional + 1 exposed individual).
  2. Participants must have attended both SHIFT Trainings (PEP-EI & PEP-MHP). During those trainings you will be given a Tools Menu, from which you must implement at least 5 tools in your agency.
  3. Participants must have implemented SHIFT Tools in their unit in conjunction with a mental health professional.
